Held various positions with the Board of Directors over the past five years. Currently serving as President-Elect for 2011. Serve on several committees; Multiple Listing Service Committee, Finance Committee, Chairperson of Leadership Development Committee. I am also a member of the Executive Search Committee that has been appointed to perform a search, conduct interviews and hire a new Association Executive Officer.

Shiawassee Real Estate Network is a Facebook community designed for Shiawassee County area residents to stay informed about the state of the local real estate markets by delivering sales statistics, the latest tips for home buyers and home sellers, and to get the latest real estate listings.

Shiawassee Family YMCA- Volunteer Youth Soccer Coach

Coaching co-ed youth soccer with experience in U-10 and U-12 leagues for Fall and Spring seasons.
Owosso Girls Youth Softball Coach

Coach and financial sponsor for several teams beginning with Midget League and currently Junior League coach and sponsor.
Shiawassee County Housing Advisory Council
2011-Present
Appointed by the Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners to serve on the Housing Advisory Council. The responsibilities of the Council is to review and accept or reject applications from homeowners in the Shiawassee County area that request assistance from Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) for repairs and upgrades. The council also approves emergency home repair funding.
City of Owosso Housing Focus Group
2011-Present
At request of Assistant City Manager, participating in a focus group that addresses the state of the housing stock in the City of Owosso. The intent is to identify weaknesses and offer solutions to problems as they relate to housing in the city. Offering my experience and knowledge of the real estate industry to assist with the Focus Group.
Campaign Manager- 2008 Mr. Owosso Contest Fundraiser
Managed a team of 14 volunteers that organized and hosted 32 fundraising events over a course of one month. Managed volunteers, expenses, donations, and eventually presented the benefactor with a check for over $11,000 to Shiawassee County Habitat for Humanity.

Served several positions with the Shiawassee County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. Helped administer procedural and business functions of the non-profit organization as well as volunteer on several fundraising committees.
Co-Founder of HopeWall.org
2009-2011
Hope Wall was a grass roots non-profit organization designed to offer assistance paying home heating bills for those in need. Hope Wall offered a unique approach to providing assistance to those who needed help paying their utility bills, particularly through the winter. The premise was a “no questions asked” approach to paying utility bills directly to the utility company using funds from anonymous donors. Too many government assistance programs were found to be cumbersome in seeking approval for funds. Hope Wall aimed to be simple and required no administrative costs.
